Autumnal colours begin to fill the air at Disneyland Paris from September. But, the end of the Summer holidays does not mean that the fun has to stop! Autumn is a perfect time to visit Disneyland Paris; with its good weather, fun events and cheaper prices, there is no better time to take a off-season visit!

What can I expect from Autumn at Disneyland Paris?

Autumn is a great time to visit Disneyland Paris. The kids going back to school generally means that prices fall quite dramatically as does the park attendance meaning that you’re more likely to have a slightly cheaper and less crowded time in the parks. The warmer climate in Paris also means that the summer weather tends to last slightly longer with warm temperatures lasting long into October with even November being not too cold. Even more good news is that seasonal entertainment in Disneyland Paris really does pick up throughout the Autumn months – in 2018 you have the tail end of the Marvel Summer of Super Heroes, Mickey’s 90th Birthday celebrations, Halloween, Christmas and a few hard ticket events including the famous Halloween Soirée!

What shall I pack?

Despite Paris’s more temperate climate, Autumn is one of those times of years where the weather can be quite changeable. The Autumnal nights and early mornings can and will be quite crisp so it’s always worth having a jumper nearby. Obviously how you pack will depend on the exact timing of your visit:

September:

Generally temperatures are good and for the vast majority of days you’ll be wanting to be wearing the usual jeans and t-shirt type attire. Temperates are slightly below that of summer, but it is not unheard of to enjoy a few days in summer wear such as shorts.

October:

It can start to get a bit chilly around here. We’re not talking big winter coats and scarves just yet though! Have a jumper and perhaps light jacket with you, especially if you’re planning to enjoy Disney Illuminations.

November:

We’re starting to get towards the more colder part of the year. For November you’ll be wanting to start to bring jumpers, scarves, gloves and hats. You might not need them every day, but you’ll be glad to have them when the cold snap hits.

Getting to the parks

All the main transport providers around Europe run regular services to Disneyland Paris throughout the Autumn. Good news all round really, especially with all the Halloween and Christmas fun to come.

There will, however, be engineering works on the RER A line from Saturday 27th October – Thursday 1st November (inclusive). Substitution busses will be in operation from Noisy-le-Grand to Disneyland Paris. This is a direct bus to the parks with no need to re-connect back onto the RER.

There will be no service between Noisy-le-Grand Mont d’est to Torcy. This will affect anybody using the RER to travel from central Paris to Disneyland Paris; however those staying in Val d’Europe and wanting to use the RER to reach the parks will be unaffected.

What sort of prices shall I expect?

Prices vary depending on your arrival date and finding the best deal to Disneyland Paris can sometimes take a while. Remember though, as your stay is priced depending on the day you arrive, arriving on a Friday or Saturday is something you should try to avoid. For the very best prices, try to arrive between Sunday and Thursday.

The price grid below indicates Disneyland Paris pricing seasons. Disneyland Paris has 5 pricing seasons ranging from High to Super Value. During the Autumn only 4 of these seasons are in use. To get the best price from your Disneyland Paris holiday remember a few top tips:

  • Prices for your entire stay are based on arrival day. If you arrive on a super value season and your stay runs into high season, you’ll still pay Super Value prices for the entire duration of your stay.
  • To get the best price, try to avoid the school holidays or weekend arrivals.
  • The earlier you book, the cheaper your stay is. But last minute rooms are usually available at good prices.

What are typical opening hours of the Disney parks?

This is probably the season with the most variation in park opening hours, but that’s no bad thing! Remember that shorter opening hours usually means that the parks are quieter and so simply don’t need to be open as long. In a 10am – 7pm day in midweek November, you can typically do even more than you would in a summer day!
